Rough terrain forklifts are outfitted with a reinforced cage cab and pneumatic tires to offer operators both security and stability on rough terrain job sites. Also known as a straight mast forklift, rough terrain forklifts come with specially designed tires built to tread rocky, uneven surfaces so that operators can safely transport heavy materials without losing balance or control.
They can also navigate hilly, uneven terrain, or wet job sites without compromising their ability to safely carry loads. Rough terrain forklifts come with a straight mast that can extend up to 21 feet and carry capacities ranging from 6,000 to 8,000 lbs or more depending on the model.
Equipped with four-wheel drive, these models come with a low frame, giving operators the advantage of navigating job sites with low overhangs and transporting heavy materials both indoors and outdoors.
Rough terrain forklifts can also be paired with other attachments to extend their uses on a job site.
